Itinerary
Morning: Enjoy an early breakfast at your Zanzibar hotel before being transferred to the Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Selous Game Reserve. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and provides stunning aerial views of the Tanzanian landscape. Arrival in Selous: Upon arrival at the Selous Airstrip, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge or camp within the reserve. Enjoy a welcoming drink and check-in. Lunch & Relaxation: After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch at your accommodation. Take time to relax and prepare for your first safari adventure. Afternoon Game Drive: In the afternoon, head out for a thrilling game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. The park, one of the largest and least disturbed wildlife areas in Africa, is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and a large number of bird species. Evening: Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for a well-deserved dinner. Relax and unwind under the stars.
Morning Boat Safari: Start your second day with an early morning boat safari along the Rufiji River. This serene and unique experience offers close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species while cruising along the water. Breakfast: After the boat safari, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge, followed by a short break to freshen up. Mid-Morning Game Drive: Head out for a mid-morning game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. Explore the diverse habitats, from woodlands to savannah, and spot a wide array of wildlife. Selous is particularly famous for its large populations of elephants and African wild dogs. Lunch: Stop for a picnic lunch in the reserve or return to your lodge for a relaxing meal. Afternoon Game Drive & Flight Back to Zanzibar: Enjoy a final game drive in the afternoon before being transferred to the airstrip. Catch your return flight to Zanzibar, arriving in the evening.
